From there, Martin Design & Development identifies missing information, conflicting assumptions, unresolved responsibilities, and decisions that must be made before the work can proceed with greater confidence.
Early Project Review
Intended for projects that are being considered, acquired, revived, or prepared for more formal planning. The review may examine:
- the intended use of the property;
- the current project concept;
- available plans and supporting documents;
- preliminary cost assumptions;
- known site or material constraints;
- the specialists or approvals that may be required;
- and the decisions that must be made before the next stage.
The result is a more organized understanding of the project and a defined list of matters requiring further investigation.
Scope Development
A project cannot be priced or assigned reliably when its scope remains incomplete.
The work examines what is included, what is excluded, what information is still required, and where responsibilities need to be assigned — then reorganizes project information, identifies dependencies, separates immediate work from later phases, and prepares clearer instructions for contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
